About Us
The Benn Partnership Centre is a thriving community centre in the heart of Rugby, supporting local residents and promoting inclusion. It is situated in a priority neighbourhood between the town centre and train station.
The Centre offers practical help with benefits, ICT, and form-filling, alongside a welcoming Warm Hub and Community Café. We support refugee families and provide free community activities, including art, fitness classes, and a Work Club to improve employment opportunities. We receive food donations from local supermarkets each week, and is a lifeline to the community.
As a safe and friendly space, we bring people together, reduce isolation, and help individuals build confidence, skills, and connections making a real difference to their lives.
We are directed and steered by a group of 7 Trustees from the local area with a broad range of skills, including Local Authority, business and IT experience.
The Centre is managed by Vivien and Rob, with Susan as Community Connector, and Robi and Aissatou providing support.
We rely on the support of regular volunteers throughout the week covering numerous roles including Reception, IT support and Gardening.
Volunteers & Funding
Volunteers are essential to the work here at Benn Partnership.
We strive to provide a welcoming and supportive environment for volunteers wishing to gain new skills and engage with the community in new ways. In return we get a wonderful range of people running the centre and providing much needed support to allow the centre to function well.
Many of our volunteers, individual and as teams, have won volunteering awards.
We operate based on local need in the community. Some of that is identified by us through our own projects and some comes to us through other agencies or organisations
We receive commissions from the County Council and Borough Council to fulfil needs outlined by them.
We were one of the primary agencies delivering digital inclusion for the pilot of universal credit.
