In response to the volcanic eruption, The Coventry St Vincent & the Grenadines Association – on behalf of the U.K. High Commission – has set up a donation facility from Thursday 15th April at the Coventry West Indian Community Centre. For donors in Rugby, the Benn Partnership Centre is acting as a drop-off point on Thursday 22nd April from 9:00am – 5:00pm.

The volcano has started erupting and a lot of families have evacuated their homes with nothing but the clothes on their backs. We would like to collect the following items that have been identified as needed urgently:

– Nappies & wipes
– Batteries (all sizes)
– Candles
– Canned foods (evaporated milk, tuna, corn beef etc) non perishable food stuff
– Rice / sugar
– Toothpaste, toothbrush
– Sanitary Products (pads, tampons etc )
– Flash lights
– Face masks and gloves PPE
– Soap/body wash
– First Aid/Medical supplies
Please bring your donated items to the Benn Partnership Centre, Railway Terrace, Rugby CV21 3HR, on Thursday 22nd April between 9am and 5pm.
All donated items will be taken to the Coventry West Indian Community Centre at 5pm sharp.
